Our Company
Colusa Tractor Company is located on Highway 20 at Wilson Road, two miles west of Colusa, California. Established in January of 1969 by Wendell Herrick, Mas Oji, Henry Oji, Arthur Oji, Raymond Stallions, and Howard Spalding, we sit on four acres at the edge of town. We recently expanded our facility to more than 20,000 square feet, allowing us to serve your needs better than ever. We've added a new small engines showroom too, showcasing John Deere Gators, Yamaha ATVs, snowmobiles and Rhinos. The newest additions to our lines include accessories like helmets, gloves and goggles, cold weather gear, winches, sun tops, gun boots, tires and wheels. The showroom also houses generators, and lawn and garden care equipment including John Deere riding and push mowers, along with a full line of Echo products, including chain saws, power pruners, edgers, blowers and Mantis tillers.
You'll find us in the heart of the Sacramento Valley in Colusa County, California. Surrounded by some of the world's most fertile farm land and wildlife that abounds on three surrounding sanctuaries, Colusa enjoys a lifestyle that combines agriculture, water recreation, hunting and fishing. Colusa County sits directly in the path of the Pacific Flyway and the Sacramento River, drawing thousands of migratory birds each year.
Colusa County's resources are primarily agriculture and ag-related industries. We hold the distinction of being the largest short and medium grain rice producing area in the world. Tomatoes, vine seed crops, stone fruits, nuts, and grains are the top income producing crops in the area. Relative newcomers to the ag industry in our county are pistachios, artichokes, cotton, and wine grapes.
Colusa County is also home to a number of ag-related industries including the world renowned Sunsweet Growers. Morning Star Company's Williams facility processes 590 tons of tomatoes per hour, making it the largest supplier of tomato paste in California. The Morning Star Company supplies 30% of the U.S. industrial tomato paste market. Adams Group, which includes divisions for grain, seeds, trucking, and air cargo, also houses a high tech facility for processing specialty oils.
Colusa maintains one of the highest per capita income levels in the state, while at the same time, its citizens enjoy its small-town quality of life.
